La Paz - PM City tour & Moon valley -PVT
La Paz called the “CITY OF CONTRASTS”; represents a unique blend of cultures and races. Indian markets, the Witch doctor market, the open air museum of Tiwanaku, colonial and modern areas as well as the Moon Valley are the local main attractions. A comprehensive three-hour program.

Day 2 Fri/Mon

Pick you up at your Hotel in La Paz and land transportation to Huatajata Before to arrive our Huatajata Harbor you can enjoy the most spectacular panorama of the lake, mountains and the impressive Royal Range of the Andes. In Huatajata you enjoy our Inter Cultural Integration program in the “Andean Roots - Eco-Village”: Visit the “Altiplano Museum” where a state of the art audio equipment presents in your own language our past legacy as well as the colonial and modern times.
Board a hydrofoil and start your Lake Titicaca experience. First, visit the Urus Iruitos Floating Islands & Quewaya Project. A unique Sustainable Tourism Project consisting of green houses with one of them built on a floating island. Explore the history of 4.500 years of this Ethnia considered the mother of the much later Aymaras and Inca cultures. A new and fantastic experience.
Continue to Moon Island. Visit the “Iñak Uyu” Sun Virgins temple, where the most beautiful virgins of the Incas were conserving a sacred fire dedicated to their Gods. This temple is considered to be one of the most important ruins on the Lake. Continue to Sun Island. Visit the Inca Stairways and the Sacred Fountain believed to give eternal youth and Happiness.
Lunch at the archaeological and panoramic “Uma Kollu” restaurant Which interior wall is a “Sukakollo”, authentic Inca scenery of the breathtaking view of Sacred Lake Titicaca and the Royal Range of the Andes. After lunch continue to Copacabana. Visit the shrine and local market. Bus transfer to La Paz.
Drop off at your hotel.

Day 3 Sat/Tue

Full Day Cochabamba -SIC
Transfer to the airport for flight to Cochabamba (flight ticket not included) Reception in Cochabamba to start your full day tour.
Visit Cochabamba´s valley. A region with an eternal spring.
Go to the Valleys of Tarata, Huaycully, Cliza, Punata and Arani.
Cliza and Arani are provinces that constitute the Upper Valley, a region known for its acting union tradition in the process of Agrarian Reform. Punata has a dense net of intrasectional roads. Cliza, a town of quechua origin has its main economical activity the arts and crafts and agropecuary fairs and well known for its local pichones gastronomy. Tarata, population where the remains of past president Mariano Melgarejo are kept. Arani, a quechua origin population characterized by the production of the famous pan de Arani - bread baked in Arani.
Return to Cochabamba.

Day 4 Sun/Wed

Transfer to the airport for flight to Sucre (ticket not included).
Reception in Sucre and transfer to your hotel.
Sucre - City Tour PM -PVT
A visit to the city of Sucre and its Museums is a must to understand the past and present of this unique town.
The tour lasts 3 hours including the sites that interest you most. Some of the places to choose from are the Textile Museum of Asur, The House of Liberty, The Monastery of San Felipe Nery, The Monastery of La Recoleta, University Colonial, Anthropological and Modern Art Museum, Bolivar Park and others.
Overnight at Hostal de su Merced 4* (B)

  • Visit to the Casa de la Moneda.

Day 5 Mon/Thu

American breakfast
Potosí – City Tour -PVT
Private transport from Sucre to Potosi.
Visit to the Casa de la Moneda (National Mint), where the procedure used for minting coins in different periods is seen. Lunch at an unusual local restaurant including full meal (drinks not included) Visit to the Convent of Santa Teresa that besides its beauty, it is a must to understand the religious life in the colonial times.
Overnight Hotel Cima Argentum (B,L)

  • Visit to the Miner´s market and an active Colonial mine.

Day 6 Tue/Fri

American breakfast
Potosí - Mine visit AM -PVT
Visit to the Miner´s market and an active Colonial mine to see the way miners used (and still do) to extract minerals. Lunch.
Private transfer to Uyuni.
Visit on route the Tika Tika and Chakilla towns.
Continue to Hotel Luna Salada salt hotel.
Dinner
Overnight at Hotel Luna Salada (B,L,D)

  • Full day visit to Uyuni Salt Lake -PVT

Day 7 Wed/Sat

Full day visit to Uyuni Salt Lake -PVT
Breakfast and visit to Colchani and a plant where salt with iodine is processed by the locals. Continue through the “Montones de Sal” (salt hills), “Ojos de Agua”, to Isla Incawasi.
Lunch and afternoon visit to the Coquesa mummies at the feet of the Thunupa Volcano. Return to Uyuni.
Day use at Hotel Girasoles. Transfer to train station.
Expreso del Sur 01.45 +1 – 09.10 + 1. (B,L)

  • Transfer to your hotel.

Day 8 Thu/Sun

Reception in Oruro.
Breakfast
Transfer to the bus station.
Public bus to La Paz.
Reception at the bus station and transfer to your hotel

Visa Information:
Please verify all visa requirements for your chosen destination. At the time this page and our useful information page were updated Brazil is the only Latin American country requesting visas to U.S. citizens. For crossing the border from Argentina to the Iguassu Falls in Brazil, a visa is also needed. Chile does not require a visa but they collect a $100 administration fee to enter the country, this must be paid in cash.
