  • Arrive in Buenos Aires.

Day 1

Arrive in Buenos Aires. During an afternoon city tour of Argentina's cultural and political capital, you will get a sampling glimpse of the diverse districts that make up this grand city. Visit the colorful "Boca" district and the elegant North Quarter and Palermo Park. See the government "Casa Rosada" - pink house, the Colon Theater, May Square, and drive down the famous 9th of July Avenue. In the evening, enjoy a Tango Show. (D)

  • Estancia visit and Fiesta Gaucha excursion.

Day 2

Today's Estancia visit and Fiesta Gaucha excursion gives you the opportunity to learn about and admire the traditional dances, songs, and meals of the Argentine gaucho by taking part in a real Gaucho Festival. The party is held at a beautiful country residence in an old ranch situated on the outskirts of Buenos Aires. (BB, L)

Day 3

Free day for shopping, touring, or Tango lessons. (BB)

  • Flight to Puerto Iguazu.

Day 4

Flight to Puerto Iguazu to see the most spectaculars falls in the world, the Iguazu Falls. (BB)

  • Visit the Brazil and Argentina.

Day 5

Visit the Brazil and Argentina side of the falls including a boat ride to the Devil's throat observation deck to enjoy the most impressive view of the very heart of the falls. Take the Nautical Adventure Boat excursion to the Argentinean and Brazilian side of the falls, to admire the falls from the bottom. Take a short walk down from the Inferior Path to board your speedboat to San Martin Island. You will have a view of the Brazilian side of the falls, navigate along the island shore for a view of the Argentine side of the falls. (BB)

  • Transfer to airport for flight home.

Extension To Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Rio de Janeiro - 2 nights

Capital of the State of Rio de Janeiro, and also Brazil's capital from 1763 to 1961, is nestled between the mountains and the sea. Its magnificent shoreline includes charming bays and beautiful beaches, dotted with islands up and down the coast. Flying into Rio is a beautiful sight, whether it be at night or during the day, the visitor quickly finds out why Rio is known as the Wonderful City. It is also an important center for art and fashion. Works by Brazilian and international artists are featured in local galleries and museums. New styles and clothing concepts are always available in Ipanema's elegant stores and boutiques.

Day 2
Half day tour including visit to Sugar Loaf - A panoramic tour of Rio's main beaches, Copacabana, Ipanema and Leblon, includes a visit to the world famous Sugar Loaf Mountain (395 m/1300 ft) in the middle of the Guanabara Bay. Includes cable car fee to Sugar Loaf.

Day 3
Transfer to Rio de Janeiro airport for flight home.

Visa Information:
Please verify all visa requirements for your chosen destination. At the time this page and our useful information page were updated Brazil is the only Latin American country requesting visas to U.S. citizens. For crossing the border from Argentina to the Iguassu Falls in Brazil, a visa is also needed. Chile does not require a visa but they collect a $100 administration fee to enter the country, this must be paid in cash.
